Known locally as ‘Brisling’, this small fish was once landed in great numbers along the Scandinavian and Baltic coastlines, hand-prepared and preserved in tins — the Nordic version of sardines.
FANGST’s version is a respectful revival of that tradition. Lightly smoked over beech wood and preserved in organic cold-pressed rapeseed oil, these sprats are delicate, flavourful, and beautifully textured — an honest tribute to the coastal heritage of the North.
